All preparations are done. Now it’s a matter of surviving the winter. All five of your Common Senses play a part in your immune system. A healthy immune system prevents illness. Prevention is easier than cure.
Symptoms of this season are from the Common Senses of…
Hearing (Spirit): Depression, Sluggishness, Lots of colds /flu, Sinus congestion, Bronchitis/Pneumonia, Water retention, Eye problems, Eating disorders, Skin outbreaks, Isolationism, Judgmental
…and Taste (Mind/Adapting):Digestion problems, Sleep problems, Unhappy but not depressed, Sudden fatigue, Cravings, Twitching, Joint pain, Weight management, Anxiety, Unable to finish anything
Your Common Sense of Hearing is in charge for your lymph system, stamina; strength, and regeneration of cells, mucus, muscls, bones, tendons; water management, being free of judgement, compassionate to all, inspiration of any kind, reverence, humility, and gratitude.
Body – Listen to what your body is telling you. If you have symptoms, something is wrong in your lifestyle somewhere. Symptoms are clues. Look at which category of your common senses the symptom comes from. Clear up the cause, not just the symptom. Adjust your lifestyle accordingly.
Mind – Meditation isn’t just for relaxing. Sometimes its the only way your spirit can be heard. Take half an hour, or even fifteen minutes to quiet your mind. Quietly walk, garden or just sit. Even doing dishes can be a moving meditation. Anything that keeps your hands or feet moving while you think is a moving meditation.
Consider all thoughts that cross your mind. Write them down. Prioritize them. Thoughts that keep coming back, are ideas for action.
